Jürgen tanzt seit über 25 Jahren beginnend mit einer klassischen Ballettausbildung am Konservatorium der Stadt Wien sowie an der Musicalschule des Theaters an der Wien. Nach einem längeren tänzerischen Aufenthalt in Chicago/Illinois/USA an der Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Academy, wo er sich dem intensiven Studium von Steptanz sowie Jazz und moderneren Tanzformen widmete.
rnIm Jahre 1988/89 wurde Jürgen als einziger "Weißer" eingeladen ein "Rank Xerox"-Stipendium an der renommierten Alvin Ailey School of Dance in NYC anzunehmen.
rnEr tanzte u.a. auch als Solist in Tanzkompanien wie "ChiTownJazz", "Lynda Martha Dance Company", "Judith Svalander D.C." wie auch mit "Lyric Opera of Chicago".
rnBei einem seiner längerfristigen Aufenthalte hatte Jürgen den Tango argentino in New York City für sich entdeckt und unterrichtet diesen Tanz seit seiner Rückkehr auch in Wien.
rnSeine unkonventionelle und pädagogische Unterrichtsweise ermöglicht es Jürgen’s Schülern ruhende Potenziale zu wecken, um neue Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten für sich entdecken zu können.
Gerade wegen der vielfältigen Ausbildungen die Jürgen soweit genießen konnte und der für Wien ungewöhnlichen Unterrichtsmethoden, ist es ihm möglich, versteckte Fähigkeiten aus den Schülern herauszuholen.
rnJürgen’s Unterrichtsmethode ist genaues technisches Arbeiten, welches es Anfängern ermöglicht schnelle Fortschritte zu erzielen. Fortgeschrittene Tangueras(os) profitieren dadurch, indem sie die für komplexe Figuren erforderliche saubere Technik beherrschen lernen. Durch jahrelange Erfahrung versteht Jürgen die Problematik des Führens und Geführtwerdens sehr genau und lenkt seine Schüler humorös auf das Ziel zu.
rnAufgrund eines gründlichen Biologiestudiums versteht Jürgen, was aus anatomischer und physiologischer Betrachtungsweise sinnvoll ist und welche Bewegungsabläufe vermieden werden sollten.
Weiters vermittelt Jürgen eine anatomisch korrekte Tanzweise, die weg von Hüftgelenks-, Kniegelenksbeschwerden sowie Verspannungen im Rücken führen sollen. Formerly @ www.tango-vienna.at
rnDen Alias Jorge hatte Jürgen von spanischen Freunden erhalten, während er sich zu Studienzwecken in Madrid aufhielt.

rnJürgen has been dancing for over 25 years starting with a classical ballet education, training in Vaganova style in Salzburg and Vienna/Austria at the Conservatory of the City of Vienna under the auspices of Karl Musil.
rnShortly after his arrival in Vienna Jürgen had been offered to join Gus Giordano of the GG-Jazz Dance Academy in Chicago/Illinois as a scholarship student where he continued his studies in ballet, jazzdance, contemporary, tap and folk dance.rnEngagements in Chicago with the Lyric Opera of Chicago as soloist and in a variety of contemporary dance companies followed suit.rn
rnUpon returning to Europe after having been absent for over 10 years, Jürgen followed a call to Madrid/Spain where he completed some of his studies for his biological major and New York City/USA where he discovered Tango Argentino.
rnJürgen´s most important teacher of argentine tango to this day still remains Alicia Cruzado who was influential in instilling that it is calmness that enriches and elegance that transponds the dance to the outside and makes tango a personal experience.
rnSince his marked return onto the Austrian tango scene some three years ago, Jürgen has had a profound impact on the local tango community, changing some longstanding misperceptions on how tango should be organised.
rnRecently in Vienna, he has succeded in leaving a legacy of a newfound appreciation for argentine tango being responsible for organising the currently largest Milonga in Vienna(TangoBar) and bringing Tango to the public with the introduction of an in the summer months held weekly outdoor milonga, now in its existence for the straight 4th year.
rnThis new found appreciation has brought Juergen new work choreographing in theatre, music and dance as well as having attracted notoriety in Film(ORF1, ATV+), TV(Crimean channel1) and the press(Slava Sebastopola, Falter, Best of Vienna...)(crimean open trophy) with numerous interviews given in the last year.
rnIn June 2006 he had been invited to judge the Crimean open dance trophy.
rnIn addition to the Cracow tango festival, Juergen has been invited to work in several cities in Ukraine and Russia teaching Tango argentino.
rnJuergen is of the generation of wild young dancers combining old elements with new patterns and encouraging the dancers not to dance someone elses choreography but to experiment and improvise. As a newly emerging figure in the international tango scene he is dancing with the worlds leading ladies sought after for his leading expertise.
rnThe focus in my work teaching argentine tango is musicality and to develop dynamic movement patterns helping the students discover their individual strengths as well as pinpointing weaknesses in the dancers abilities.
rnFurthermore, Juergen has gained more visibility as a Tango DJ recently, utilising his large Tango library to play at milongas.
